How To Make Child’s Photos Memorable

Your child deserves to be remembered. Don’t let them be remembered in an unsaturated photo.

I see this photography mistake all the time.

Parents do love their children and want them to be remembered but if not educated…

They will have other people remembering them as an unsaturated mess.

Twelve tell-tail signs to look out for as a school

There are a variety of warning signs to look out for when searching for a school photographer, from easy-to-spot quality checks and colour correctors.

By learning what to spot you will always know if what you are getting is actually what they say it is.

  1. Blurriness: The image is out of focus, with subjects appearing unclear or fuzzy.

  2. Poor Lighting: Insufficient or uneven lighting causes shadows, harsh highlights, or overexposed areas.

  3. Incorrect White Balance: Colors appear unnatural, such as too warm (yellowish) or too cool (bluish).

  4. Low Resolution: The photo appears pixelated or grainy, especially when enlarged.

  5. Background Distractions: The background is cluttered, messy, or inappropriate, drawing attention away from the subject.

  6. Red-Eye Effect: The eyes of subjects appear red due to improper flash use.

  7. Unnatural Skin Tones: Skin tones appear too orange, blue, or any other unnatural shade.

  8. Distorted Proportions: The photo appears stretched, squashed, or has unusual angles due to lens distortion or improper scaling.

  9. Unbalanced Colors: Colors are not vibrant or are disproportionately saturated.

  10. Artifacts: Unwanted digital artifacts, such as lines, spots, or other distortions, are visible in the photo.

  11. Visible Editing Flaws: Over-editing, such as excessive smoothing of the skin, unnatural colour adjustments, or obvious retouching marks.

  12. Lack of Sharpness: Edges are unclear and defined, making the image look soft.
